Disposable Single Dose Safety Syringe
Unique features & benefits:
The Aids crisis brought to light the reality of contaminated needles
accidentally being re-used in hospitals. Intended to save lives,
instead, the contaminated needles injected deadly or life-long diseases
in many unsuspecting patients, including innocent babies and children.
The Disposable Single Dose Safety Syringe solves this problem.
It is a disposable, 1-time use, self-contained syringe with a spring-loaded
needle and one dose of medication, which is designed to be impossible
to re-use.
The Syringe is small like a woman's compact (2 inch by approx.
1 inch), made out of a special sturdy cardboard material, with a
plastic pouch for the medication. It has a thumb-operated slider
that advances the needle to deliver the fluid.
Once used, the patented mechanism inside the Syringe retracts the
needle and prevents the needle's reuse by locking the needle inside,
and puncturing a hole in the pouch containing the medication.
The medication is sealed and sterile inside the Syringe until the
moment of use. The needle extends only at the time of use, making
it safe to carry in a pocket or purse before and after use. It is
designed to be operated by one hand only, with Braille-like finger
touch markings. It retracks the needle automatically after use for
safe disposal.
Other benefits include straight surfaces to permit printing of
information and instructions, as well as manufacture in any color
(including transparent) for identification and safety.
The Syringe is inexpensive to manufacture, is self-contained and
compact and takes minimum space to store.
